July 1st, 2011

Nothing huge happened yesterday our house pretty much stayed calm for the most part. I had the hardest time finding my energy and I didn't get that energy rush until about 3pm unfortunately. Kayla was pretty upset that I wasn't getting out of bed that morning when she wanted me to :-( But I did eventually get out of bed and proceeded to start our day.

Kayla and Bailey play pretty well together some of the time, but it seems like most of the time they are fighting like siblings lol. Kayla will tease Bailey with her lovies, stuffed animals and toys but then will get super mad when Bailey grabs them right out of her hands running away. It kinda makes me giggle, but I do get tired of hearing Kayla cry that Bailey had taken her stuff or that Bailey torments Kayla on occasion. It seriously is almost like I have two kids, just one is a puppy. Besides all that, Kayla absolutely LOVES Bailey and asks for her constantly and Bailey feels the same way about Kayla, There isn't one thing that would stop her from protecting the Bear. Chris and I, most of the time, love seeing the two together. Kayla will give Bailey Hugs and loves her kisses.

After most of the morning drug painfully by for me and when I finally felt my energy, I was able to get our room and bathroom cleaned up and the style is almost complete. Chris and I still have to find a bedding set and get some brackets to hang the tv on the wall, Also I would like to paint the room before everything is completely finished. But at least the floor is vacuumed and I was finally able to get the queen sized mattress out of our room and into the room it will be.

I was also able to get the couches and floor vacuumed as well as dusting done in the living room then I cleaned up the kitchen and started on some of that 3 month overdue laundry. So I guess, even though the morning didn't start out to well for me the evening turned out to be pretty productive.

After we put Kayla down for bed, Chris and I enjoyed each others company as we watched a comedy central special. Our evening was so relaxing and full of laughter, I couldn't of asked for a better evening with my Husband.

So I have attached some pictures of our new bedroom set and we would love some bedding and color recommendations if you wouldn't mind offering some up.

June 30th, 2011

Yesterday was sorta hectic, I had a very hard time getting out of bed before 7:30am but I knew I had to take Bailey to her spay appointment. So I forced myself out of bed and got the clan ready and headed for the clinic. I wasn't exactly sure where this clinic was, all I remember was the woman who called to set up the appointment said it was across the street from the College on 242. (I think I got that interstate right) anyway, it was supposed to be over by Moco. But I drove all the way over there and No clinic was to be found :-(!~ So we headed straight home instead. We will just have to get Bailey spayed another time I guess.

Kayla and Bailey played for a bit while I worked super hard to get ready to take Kayla to The Childrens Museum. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong, and I'm pretty sure It has to do with the types of medication I am on right now. But I have been having the HARDEST time getting motivated in the mornings, I seem to not find my energy until well into the afternoon and its kinda a drag. Anyway, about the time I was getting Kayla rounded up to head out the door, I couldn't find my wallet purse thing. I have the memory of taking it with us earlier, but I have no memory of what happened to it after that. I know, at least I think I didn't get out of the car at all so it wouldn't have been left anywhere but I couldn't find it. So I grabbed my check book and we headed to the Childrens Museum.

This has been Kayla's third time going to the museum, but probably only the second time she would really remember it. It is so very fun watching her enjoy all the different stations and random puppet shows this place offers. She has taken the most liking to this one station that has a bunch of "fake" but almost real looking black rocks or chipped Cole with a bunch of dump trucks, digging tolls and dinosaurs to play with. It is very interesting to watch her play at this station, What she does every time, no matter how long it had been sense her last visit, is collect ALL the dinosaurs and proceed to line them up on the wall surrounding the station. Chris and I like to discuss what exactly might be going through her mind, It is so intriguing to think of how she is processing things. I wish we could take her to the museum more often, but it is sorta a whole day type of thing through lunch time and then she has her naps at about 1ish. So that wouldn't leave that much time for the house work to be done etc. Oh, wouldn't it be nice to have a live in maid/cook? lol... I'm only half joking hehehe.

once we got home, Kayla had her nap and slept for a pretty good amount of time. She slept until about 3:30is which allowed me to enjoy my quiet time and get a few things done around the house. It is so awesome when she sleeps this long or even longer on a rarer day lol, We normally put her down around 1ish and she sometimes will only sleep about 1 hour :-(. But I'll take what I can get.

Once she got up, I had to start getting us ready to head to the church for a woman's bible study on Beth Moore's (I think its called) Wishing up, Wherever Life Happens. I think its a 6 week study that is held every Thursday and unfortunately I missed last weeks, But thankfully I have two wonderful friends that attended and caught me up on it. This study is definitely going to be a hard one. But I really enjoyed last nights' and just being about to be with friends to was awesome. Kayla and I ate at chick-fil-le before heading over to the church, and I had seriously over judged or missed judged rather my eta of arrival lol. We ended up getting to the church 45 minutes before the study even started. I was a little embarrassed, but I was kinda fun taking a walk out side and playing with Kayla.

Chris got home from Dallas around 7ish thankfully and Kayla and I greeted him with big hugs and kiss's when we got home! It is so awesome to see Kayla with Chris, You can tell that little girl loves her daddy sooooo very much! Since it was after 9 when I got home, I couldn't let Kayla stay up too long with daddy since her bedtime is at 8pm and she was already miss cranky pants. After I put her down, I headed out to girls night. I wasn't planning on staying that long since Chris had just gotten home, but it didn't turn out that way lol. I missed last girls night, and I was in need of some R&R with my girls. We had to place a cape on girls night since prior times us girls hadn't been getting home until 2am sometimes later than that, so we caped it off at 12pm and I didn't leave until about that time.

All in all I think Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful day, and I'm so thankful that I have the privilege to be able to stay home with The Bear and make some "sentimental override" moments like this with her.

Back by 'not so popular demand' But soon to be popular demand!

I know it's been over a year since my last post so I wont even try to "back-track', instead I have posted a few pictures of things this blog has missed since then.

This morning Chris left for Dallas on business :-(. Thankfully this trip will be a short one since he will return sometime tomorrow. I woke up this morning around 6:30am and it was not pretty! lately I have been so very exhausted in the mornings and I think its because of the medicines that I am on. However, the effort to get out of bed this morning wasn't as bad as mornings before.

Kayla went to her last day of Summer Mothers Day Out today. She started attending June 7th and went every Monday and Wednesday from 9am-2pm. For the past two years it has just been me and her during the day and I had finally convinced Chris to allow Kayla to attend mothers day out at our church. At first it was very bitter sweet, I felt like I was dropping my daughter off at kindergarten for the first time and I couldn't believe just how much time had passed since Chris and I first welcomed her into this world May 29th, 2009. But I must say, this experience has been so rewarding for me and Kayla. For the first time in 2 years, I have felt like I actually have two days off during the week. I have been able to get so many things accomplished during the time she has been at school that would normally take a very long time to accomplish. As for Miss. Kayla, She has been able to have some time away from mommy and make new friends and learn about God. I'm pretty sad that the program has ended, but She will be attending again in the Fall...

Nothing too exciting happened today its been pretty boring actually. Other than my mom coming by to pick up a few things for the fourth of July party they will be throwing, I pretty much just hung around, did some cleaning and watched a movie with The Bear(aka Kayla).

Chris and I purchased a pretty awesome Bed set off woodlandsonline.com a couple months ago and later purchased a King size mattress off overstock.com. I will have to post pictures of the bed tomorrow or something, We absolutely LOVE it. Unfortunately bu fortunately, The mattress just got here yesterday allowing us to sleep on our awesome bed for the first time since we bought it. Chris and I have only ever slept on full and queen sized beds, So sleeping on a King sized mattress was really awesome. The only down fall is that I'm a cuddle bug and He's way to far away to cuddle snuggle lol. Tonight I'm pretty bummed since I'll have this huge bed all to my lonesome, I really don't like when he's away overnight I can never sleep that well when he is.

I'm really not sure what tomorrow will bring, I really have to catch on some seriously overdue laundry.... About three months overdue eeeekkkk.... But I would also like to take Kayla somewhere fun that she would enjoy. I'm thinking maybe the Children's Museum.... OH, I just remembered that I have to drop Bailey, our puppy, off at the doctors for her spay appointment.... Hmmmmm, maybe we should then see how the day goes with that, we may just stay at home and do a bunch of crafts or take a bike ride around the neighborhood and feed the ducks.

Well, I think I'm going to call it a night ending it with Pawn Stars. Here's to a peaceful nights sleep, and a smooth day tomorrow.

With love, The Morans- Mama Bear
